Shuttlecocks Flying After 3 Years... Over 1,200 Participants Nationwide in the 'Gumi Saemaeul Open Badminton'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province, held the 15th Gumi Saemaeul Cup Open Badminton Tournament at Park Chung-hee Gymnasium for two days from the 26th to the 27th.
Hosted by the Gumi City Sports Council and organized by the Gumi City Badminton Association (President Kim Il-su), the tournament saw over 1,200 badminton enthusiasts from 12 cities and provinces nationwide compete to showcase their skills.
The tournament was held for the first time in three years, and the matches were divided by age groups (20s to 60s) and skill levels (A to D) in men's and women's doubles, as well as mixed doubles, conducted in a preliminary and main tournament knockout format.
