The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "In areas where it rains, roads may be slippery, and after the rain stops, as temperatures drop, there may be icy roads in the northeastern Gyeonggi area and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, so please pay special attention to traffic safety."
Morning temperatures will be higher than usual, but as cold air gradually moves southward from the northwest, daytime temperatures will be 4 to 9 degrees lower than yesterday, making it cold. The central region will have temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius.
As of 7 a.m., temperatures are Seoul 9.0°C, Incheon 9.6°C, Chuncheon 3.6°C, Gangneung 12.5°C, Daejeon 8.7°C, Gwangju 9.5°C, Daegu 6.6°C, Ulsan 12.3°C, Busan 13.2°C, and Jeju 13.3°C.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'moderate' across all regions. However, the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region are expected to experience temporarily 'bad' levels in the morning, and the Honam region in the afternoon.
Today, most parts of the country will experience strong winds with instantaneous wind speeds around 55 km/h (15 m/s). In particular, the eastern Gangwon region will have very strong winds around 90 km/h (25 m/s).
As of 8 a.m. today, strong wind warnings have been issued for Seohae 5 Islands, Gangwon Province (Taebaek, Jeongseon Plain, northern Gangwon mountains, central Gangwon mountains, southern Gangwon mountains), Ulleungdo, and Dokdo, and storm warnings have been issued for the northern outer sea of the southern East Sea, the inner outer sea of the central East Sea, and the outer outer sea of the central East Sea.
