Gangdong Kyunghee Korean Medicine Hospital Signs New Joint Research Agreement on Herbal Medicine with B-Flux Pharma
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Gangdong Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital announced on the 25th that it has signed a business agreement with the natural product new drug research and development bio venture 'Bifluxpharma' for the development of new herbal medicine.
Through this agreement, Gangdong Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital and Bifluxpharma plan to conduct research on the development and commercialization of a Korean medicine preparation (anticancer immune enhancer) using Baekgangjam (silkworm) protein extract.
Bifluxpharma is a company that researches and develops natural anticancer drugs and edible insect protein products, and recently launched 'Kyung Hee Geonchil Immune Go' based on lacquer tree extract. Gangdong Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital is expected to play a role in medical consultation and smooth progress of clinical trials through top-level medical staff and state-of-the-art facilities.
Ryu Jae-chun, CEO of Bifluxpharma, said, "We expect to develop health functional foods and anticancer immune therapeutics that can help provide essential nutrition to the general public and recovering cancer patients using edible insect extract (Baekgangjam)."
