Kyobo Securities Wins Excellence Award for Sustainability ESG Report
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Kyobo Securities announced on the 25th that it received the Excellent Report Award in the First Publication category at the '2022 Korea Sustainability Report' hosted by the Korea Standards Association.
The Korea Standards Association has been evaluating domestic companies' sustainability management reports based on global standards annually since 2008 and selecting excellent reports. Kyobo Securities published its first '2021 Kyobo Securities Integrated Report' in July. It received excellent evaluations in a total of 10 categories, including stakeholder inclusiveness, sustainability clarity, and reliability.
In the report, the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management goal was presented as "Action for Positive Change," responsible behavior that creates positive changes for society, the environment, and the world. Based on this, it was divided into four 4P areas (Prosperity, Principles of Governance, People, Planet). A special page was added to emphasize digital innovation and the declaration of coal phase-out finance.
At the end of last year, to strengthen social responsibility, Kyobo Securities joined the international agreement 'UN Global Compact.' This year, it participated in the 'BIS Summit 2022 Anti-Corruption Pledge' and complies with the ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
Kyobo Securities received a B+ grade in the ESG integrated evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute this month through concrete ESG management goals and active implementation. This is a one-step improvement from the B grade last year.
