Kong Jieun Educational Farm was selected as a pilot farm for the healing agriculture program developed by the Rural Development Administration in August this year, and from October to November, it conducted a horticultural healing program once a week for eight sessions.
As a result of conducting the horticultural healing program for 15 directors of Sacheon City daycare centers, it was confirmed that depression and stress decreased while cognitive function and self-esteem increased.
Building on this, by introducing a comprehensive horticultural healing program beyond some of the developed healing programs, a foundation was established to increase farm income.
Healing agriculture refers to all agricultural activities provided to restore mental and physical health using agricultural materials and resources.
It is especially agricultural activity that heals not only work-related stress but also those who need medical and social assistance.
