Gwangju Seo-gu Distributes 5,000 Hand Sanitizers to Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, distributed 5,000 hand sanitizers donated by local companies to seven welfare facilities in the district, including Seo-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Seo-gu Senior Welfare Center, and Seo-gu Disabled Welfare Center, to protect vulnerable groups from COVID-19 infection.
Seo-gu announced on the 23rd that it recently received a donation of hand sanitizers worth about 14 million KRW from Joy AV Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Dong-jun).
In particular, although this company is located in Gwangsan-gu, it delivered the donated items to Seo-gu residents, and it is known that Seo-gu Council member Oh Mi-seop played a significant role in this process.
A representative of the Seo-gu Disabled Welfare Center said, “As concerns about infection among the elderly and disabled are increasing due to the resurgence of COVID-19, we feel reassured that there are grateful people who worry about and visit the welfare blind spots. Facility workers will also do their best to ensure the safety and health of facility users.”
