Pukyong National University Students Win Awards at Graduate School of Waste-to-Energy Specialization Performance Presentation

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Kim Min-jae, a combined master's and doctoral student majoring in Environmental Engineering in the Department of Earth Environmental System Science at Pukyong National University, received the Chairman's Award from the Korea Environment Corporation at the 2022 Waste Resource Energy Specialization Graduate School Performance Presentation.
At the recent presentation held at Seoul Gongganmoa, Kim Min-jae presented research results on "Investigation of the Effect of Magnetite Addition on Improving Acetate Decomposition Methanogenesis Reaction," earning recognition for his excellent achievements.
He represented the consortium of POSTECH and Pukyong National University, which is conducting the Waste Resource Energy Specialization Graduate School project, to present this research outcome and achieved such success.
The 2022 Waste Resource Energy Specialization Graduate School Performance Presentation was hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Korea Environment Corporation, Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation, and Korea Waste Association.
The presentation was attended by seven participating universities and companies, and included discussions on waste resource energy policy and project promotion directions, a roundtable for the development plan of the specialization graduate school project, and research result presentations.

The Waste Resource Energy Specialization Graduate School project, conducted by the POSTECH-Pukyong National University consortium, is supported by the Ministry of Environment and Korea Environment Corporation, aiming to cultivate master's and doctoral level professionals tailored to companies related to organic waste resource energy and to establish an educational foundation, with the project ongoing since last year.
