‘Hansan: Rising Dragon’ Screened as Closing Film at London Korean Film Festival

At the closing ceremony held at the Regent Street Cinema located in London's Oxford Circus, director Kim Han-min, who attended the festival for the second time, said, "It is impressive that British audiences have fundamental questions about Korean films. I hope to form a strong rapport with the audience." In an interview with Forbes, he said, "I wanted to portray Admiral Yi Sun-sin as a person with special powers." The director's extended version of Hansan: Rising Dragon, titled Hansan Redux, is a film depicting the untold stories of Admiral Yi Sun-sin's anguish and those who fought in the naval battle that determined Joseon's fate during the early stages of the Imjin War in 1592. It was released on the 16th.
