Damyang-gun Provides 4 Major Violence Prevention Training for Senior Officials
Training on Manager Responsibilities and Roles to Enhance Gender Sensitivity
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 21st that it conducted education on the prevention of the four major types of violence (sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, and domestic violence) for high-ranking public officials.
This education was prepared to enhance understanding of the responsibilities and roles of managers and to create a healthy workplace atmosphere through mutual consideration and respect.
On the day of the training, instructor Kim Jaeho from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education was invited to give a lecture titled “Increasing Gender Sensitivity! Organizational Culture Innovation and the Role of High-ranking Officials,” covering prevention measures for the four major types of violence and the responsibilities of managers to prevent secondary damage.
County Governor Lee Byungno said, “The role of managers is more important than anything else to raise awareness of gender equality and create a healthy organizational culture,” adding, “We will continue to strive to create a gender-equal workplace.”
