Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "Korean Crew Member Attacked in US Requests Police Investigation"

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “Our local diplomatic mission immediately dispatched a consul to the hospital to check the patient's condition as soon as the accident was recognized,” and added, “We requested a prompt and thorough investigation from the relevant police authorities.”
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Korean national who was stabbed was transferred to the hospital’s intensive care unit and is currently hospitalized, with communication possible.
The perpetrator was shot by armed security nearby and arrested, but later died at the hospital.
