Ulsan Office of Education Supports Academic Operations After CSAT... Customized Online and Offline Programs Offered
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education prepared various programs on the 17th to ensure safe and solid educational activities even after the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).
On the same day, the Ulsan Office of Education informed each school of the ‘Post-CSAT Academic Operation Support Plan.’
According to the plan, each school will continue educational activities based on in-person classes after the CSAT, and will autonomously establish and operate curricula and academic operation plans tailored to their school situations by utilizing not only subject classes but also student-customized education programs and school-specific programs.
The Office of Education requested schools to operate student and parent counseling programs according to each school's circumstances, such as students’ college admission, employment preparation, and career counseling after graduation.
In addition, programs for financial, economic, and labor education, as well as cultural and foreign language education, and career experience programs for exploring and setting career paths were also provided.
Each university plans to offer various university exploration programs to help prospective college students adapt to new environments. During the winter vacation, free software and artificial intelligence education camp programs will be held to cultivate digital literacy.
The Ulsan Office of Education plans to inspect and provide consulting to prevent improper curriculum operation, such as excessive shortened classes at schools after the CSAT, recognizing attendance for academy attendees, and cases where students study autonomously without teacher guidance.
As various on- and off-campus activities increase after the CSAT, examinees and students may be exposed to various risks. Therefore, a list of safety education videos that schools can utilize and situational behavioral guidelines to protect oneself from crowd crush accidents when using indoor and outdoor multi-use facilities were also provided.
The main contents of the provided materials include crowd crush accident prevention education, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice education guidance, COVID-19 prevention methods and video material lists according to the seven standard guidelines, and a nationwide safety experience center list available during the CSAT period.
