[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The Korea Franchise Industry Association received candidate registrations until the 16th for the election of the 8th association president, but since no candidates registered, it decided to recommend a president through an emergency board meeting.
On the 17th, the Korea Franchise Industry Association announced through a public notice, "After the announcement of the 8th association president election (on the 8th of this month) and the candidate registration period (14th to 16th), no candidates registered. According to Article 39, Paragraph 3 of the Election Management Operation Regulations, 'If there are no candidates, the board of directors shall recommend a candidate and the general assembly shall approve by majority vote,' an emergency board meeting will be held to recommend a candidate for the 8th association president."
Accordingly, the association's executive directors will recommend a candidate on the 22nd of this month, and the 8th association president will be elected by majority vote at the general assembly on the 30th.
