Gyeonggi-do Inspects Two Reconstruction Maintenance Projects in Ansan and Pyeongtaek... 32 Issues Identified
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province conducted on-site inspections of two reconstruction maintenance projects in Pyeongtaek City and Ansan City during August and September, uncovering 32 issues including omissions in general meeting resolutions.
According to Gyeonggi Province on the 16th, in the case of Reconstruction Association A in Pyeongtaek City, it was revealed that the project budget (contract with a service company) was handled solely by the delegates' meeting resolution without approval at the general meeting, leading to a complaint.
Additionally, 20 cases were identified including the payment of extended work allowances of 4 to 5 million KRW each to two executives who were not eligible for such allowances, and poor management of gift certificates purchased with business promotion expenses, resulting in orders for recovery and corrective measures.
The Reconstruction Promotion Committee B in Ansan City received corrective orders for delaying the preparation of the accounting settlement report and inadequately recording meeting minutes. Furthermore, 12 issues were pointed out, such as incorrectly citing or differently stating the higher-level law, the "Act on Maintenance and Improvement of Urban Areas and Dwelling Environment," in the operating regulations and election management regulations.
