Samsung Electronics Vice President Lee Wooseop Recognized for Win-Win Growth Contributions... Awarded Silver Tower Industrial Medal
Dongbanwi Holds '2022 Dongban Growth Week Commemoration Ceremony'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Lee Woo-seop, Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics (photo), was awarded the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in recognition of his efforts such as establishing a win-win fund for small and medium-sized partner companies. Forty-one companies that participated in the pilot project of the delivery payment linkage system also received commendations from the Minister of SMEs and Startups.
The Win-Win Growth Committee held the '2022 Win-Win Growth Week Commemoration Ceremony' on the 15th at the Rowoon Art Hall in Seoul. The Win-Win Growth Week event, now in its 19th year, is a statutory event where the public and private sectors come together to promote win-win growth between large and small and medium enterprises.
At this event, under the slogan "Win-Win Growth with My Life, A Prosperous Korea for All," six major economic organizations including the Korea Federation of SMEs and the Federation of Korean Industries reaffirmed their commitment to win-win growth.
During the 2022 Win-Win Growth Week Commemoration Ceremony, awards were given to those who contributed to win-win growth. Vice Chairman Lee Woo-seop of Samsung Electronics, who received the honor of the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, was recognized for his efforts over the past three years in stabilizing the management of small and medium partner companies through the establishment of funds worth 2.2 trillion KRW including the win-win fund and the operation of win-win payment systems.
Yeosu-dong, President of Hyundai Transys, who received the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, contributed to strengthening competitiveness by operating customized win-win growth programs for partner companies.
Executive Director Lee Yong-gi of LG Innotek was awarded the Industrial Medal for contributing to the stabilization of small and medium enterprises’ management by improving partner companies’ payment systems, providing financial support, and increasing delivery payments due to rising raw material costs.
In addition, 41 companies that participated in the pilot project of the delivery payment linkage system in September received commendations from the Minister of SMEs and Startups.
Cho Joo-hyun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said in an encouragement speech, "Win-win growth between large and small and medium enterprises, growing together with small businesses and self-employed people, will be a new growth engine for Korea in this era of complex great transformation."
