Citizens Rescuing Driver from Burning Accident Vehicle

According to the Gwangju Dongbu Police Station on the 15th, around 1:27 a.m. that day, a vehicle driven by A (in his 60s) collided with a median strip with a flowerbed-type central divider on a road in Sotae-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
A lost consciousness and could not take his foot off the accelerator pedal, causing a fire presumed to be due to overheating in the vehicle.
Two to three citizens who witnessed the accident reported it to the police and fire department and then rescued A.
A suffered second-degree burns on his hand but was reported to have no serious injuries.
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes by the fire authorities who arrived at the scene.
