Kim Se-yong, Former SH President, Appointed as GH CEO
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kim Se-yong, former president of Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH), has been appointed as the president of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH). GH has been without a president since November last year.
The GH Executive Recommendation Committee previously recommended multiple candidates including former President Kim, and Gyeonggi Province has appointed him.
Appointee Kim holds a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Korea University, master's degrees from Seoul National University Graduate School of Environmental Studies and Columbia University in the United States, and a doctorate in Architectural Engineering from Korea University. He has also served as a professor in the Department of Architecture at Korea University.
GH saw former President Lee Heon-wook resign three months before the end of his term in November last year, followed by former Vice President and Acting President Ahn Tae-joon stepping down in February.
Since then, according to the company’s bylaws, Jeon Hyung-soo, the third-ranking executive and head of the Management Planning Headquarters, has been acting as president.

Kim will be officially appointed after a personnel hearing at the Gyeonggi Provincial Council. His term will be three years.
