'The Alcohol Is the Problem' - Drunken 50s Man Arrested for Swinging Broken Bottle at Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 50s who swung a bottle at a stranger while intoxicated was apprehended by the police.
On the 15th, the Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon announced that they had arrested and were investigating Mr. A (56) on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of swinging a broken beer bottle at the victim, Mr. B (48), at around 8:40 PM the previous day at a bar in Hyoseong-dong, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, attempting to stab him in the face.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he could not remember the incident due to intoxication. The victim, Mr. B, sustained injuries to his face and was transported to a nearby hospital, but his life is not in danger.

A police official explained, "The victim was heavily intoxicated, so a proper investigation has not yet been conducted," adding, "We plan to investigate the detailed motive behind the crime."
