The product is designed to display blood, affected areas, and other details in the highest quality to clearly distinguish confusing red hues.
On the 15th, LG Electronics announced that it will participate in MEDICA 2022, the world's largest medical device exhibition held in D?sseldorf, Germany, to showcase differentiated medical solutions. Starting from the previous day (local time), LG Electronics set up an exhibition hall for the four-day event, allowing visitors to experience medical imaging devices optimized for operating rooms, X-ray examination rooms, and reading rooms.
At the exhibition, LG Electronics unveiled its 'new surgical Mini LED monitor' for the first time. This is the first product among LG Electronics' medical monitors to apply Mini LED technology.
Based on the standard color gamut (sRGB, area) that a display can express, it achieved 139%, the highest among LG Electronics' surgical monitors. Thanks to this, it clearly distinguishes blood and affected areas in red hues that can be confusingly similar from a doctor's perspective.
The product also significantly enhanced features optimized for surgical environments. Considering the bright lighting in operating rooms, it is equipped with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits and a 178° wide viewing angle panel. It also received waterproof and dustproof ratings of IP45 on the front and IP32 on the back. With Picture in Picture and Picture by Picture functions, it allows surgical information to be checked at a glance on up to four screens.
The 'diagnostic monitor (model: 31HN713D)' is a 31-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It delivers 12-megapixel (MP) resolution, enabling simultaneous viewing of up to two mammography (breast cancer imaging technique) images with 5-megapixel resolution. The 'digital X-ray detector (model: 17HQ901G)' uses an oxide thin-film transistor (Oxide TFT) panel with high X-ray sensitivity. Compared to previous products, software improvements have reduced radiation exposure to about half of the standard radiation dose.
