[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Jeong Jin-seok, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, raised his voice saying that legal action is necessary against a pro-Democratic Party media outlet that disclosed the list of victims of the Itaewon accident, expressing "anger at the unilateral disclosure of the victim list."
On the 15th, Chairman Jeong posted on his social network service (SNS), "Disclosing the victim list without the consent of the bereaved families inflicts further wounds on their pain," and added, "Legal action is definitely necessary."
He emphasized, "I was also fined hundreds of millions of won for disclosing the list of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union without consent," and said, "I and the People Power Party will not ignore the tragic pain faced by the bereaved families of the Itaewon victims. We will do our best to uncover the truth and find solutions."
