The 33rd Yu Jae-ha Music Competition Concludes Successfully... Grand Prize Awarded to Hwang Dajeong

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Hwang Dajeong won the grand prize at the Yoo Jaeha Music Competition, known as a gateway for singer-songwriters.
On the 14th, the CJ Cultural Foundation announced that Hwang Dajeong received the grand prize at the finals of the "33rd Yoo Jaeha Music Competition with CJ," held on the 12th at Hansung University Naksan Hall.
Hwang Dajeong, a student in the Practical Music Department at Howon University, showcased her unique vocal tone by performing her original song "A Brilliant Day" on the final stage.
Hwang Dajeong expressed, "I have often been fearful because I was not very confident in my music," adding, "I am happy to have been recognized by people through winning the grand prize."
The gold prize was awarded to Kim Gyuri, and the silver prize to Yoo Jaein. Kim Gyuri also received the CJ Cultural Foundation Award, a special prize given to singer-songwriters who possess both skill and popularity.
The 10 awardees will receive scholarships totaling 20 million KRW, including 5 million KRW for the grand prize, 2.5 million KRW for the gold prize, and 2 million KRW for the silver prize. They will also have the opportunity to participate in the production of the 33rd Yoo Jaeha alumni commemorative album and the commemorative concert. They will be supported with space for recording, practice, and performance at the venue "CJ Azit Gwangheungchang," and can appear on the YouTube channel "Azit Live," which has over 430,000 subscribers.
A representative from the CJ Cultural Foundation stated, "We will actively support 'Yoo Jaeha alumni' to fully demonstrate their musical abilities and continue efforts to restore and develop the diversity of domestic popular music."
