Cho married Park, a specialist and her elementary school classmate, in 2010, and they had twins. Eight years later, in 2018, Park filed a lawsuit against Cho seeking divorce and custody designation. Park claimed she suffered from Cho's verbal abuse and physical violence, which increased in frequency after the "Peanut Incident" in December 2014, and accused her of child abuse.
In February 2019, Park also filed charges against Cho for special injury and child abuse under the Child Welfare Act. The court issued a summary order fining Cho 3 million won in April 2020.
