Virtual Influencer 'Rozy' Appointed as Ambassador for 'Design Korea 2022'
Design Promotion Institute to Host Event from 23rd to 27th
Over 1,000 Companies and 400 Buyers to Participate
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Institute of Design Promotion announced on the 13th that it has appointed the virtual influencer 'Rozy' as the ambassador for the design industry expo 'Design Korea 2022'.
Rozy is a digital human created with big data analysis and artificial intelligence technology, featuring a face shape and voice preferred by the MZ generation. Since debuting in 2020, she has shared her daily life through social media after starting as a TV commercial model, engaging with over 100,000 followers.
Going forward, Rozy plans to participate in the opening ceremony and exhibition of Design Korea 2022, delivering welcome messages and conducting interviews with key participants as part of promotional activities.
The event will be held for five days from November 23 to 27 at the aT Center located in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. This year’s program includes △ design trend and product exhibitions △ international design conferences △ business events for design specialized companies and startups △ designer job fairs, among various side events. About 1,000 companies are expected to showcase design products and content, with participation from over 400 domestic and international buyers.
In particular, under the theme 'Mega Impact Design Trend 2023+,' trends necessary for designers to plan new business models will be introduced based on data from a trend research institute.
