As a result, users can easily issue 66 types of electronic certificates, including resident registration copies, on "Gyeonggi DdokD" without a joint certificate.
Launched on April 27, Gyeonggi DdokD provides ▲ "Customized Benefit Information Service" such as welfare information and public recruitment information for residents ▲ "Resident Card Service," a public MyData-based identity verification service ▲ "Electronic Wallet Service," which allows users to store and use various electronic certificates on their mobile phones ▲ "My Report Service," which offers residents' MyData information in a report format useful for daily life.
Until now, to use the electronic wallet service of Gyeonggi DdokD, users had to verify their identity with a joint certificate. There was also the inconvenience of transferring the joint certificate from PC to smartphone. To resolve these inconveniences, the province has added the simple authentication method.
Simple Authentication does not require registration on the Gyeonggi DdokD app like the existing joint certificate, nor does it need annual renewal. The issuance and authentication process is simpler than that of the joint certificate. Users can select frequently used simple authenticators (Naver, Kakao, PASS, Toss, etc.) to verify their identity and use the electronic wallet service. Through the electronic wallet, users can view, save, and share 66 types of electronic certificates such as resident registration copies, health insurance premium payment confirmations, and vehicle registration certificates.
The province explained that the service was introduced following feedback on service use from the "Gyeonggi Love Resident Participation Group," which reviews and suggests opinions on provincial policies and projects in July, and the results of the "Gyeonggi DdokD User Satisfaction Survey" conducted in August, where "inconvenience in using joint certificates" was raised.
The province plans to expand the service next month by linking it with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's online welfare application service. Through this, it is expected that various welfare applications, such as support for multi-child family school admission congratulatory funds, can be made in a one-stop manner on Gyeonggi DdokD.
Jeon Seung-hyun, head of the Data Policy Division of the province, said, "We will strive for continuous quality management and service expansion so that residents can use Gyeonggi DdokD easily and conveniently."
