Regarding the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, which has reached six months since its launch, he said, "I thought too much time had passed, but only one-tenth of Yoon Suk-yeol's government term has passed. Thinking about what the people and we will face ahead is overwhelming," adding, "At times like this, we must keep our focus and raise our voices together on the side of the people starting from the National Assembly."
At the lawmakers' meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Floor Leader Park said, "The National Assembly must fulfill its role to prevent such tragic disasters from recurring." He added, "Saying that everyone is responsible is the same as not holding anyone accountable, and delaying while saying that we will judge after the investigation results come out means that the prosecution investigation, police investigation, and trials up to the first, second, and third instances will take years. How can the people accept this?"
Floor Leader Park said, "The Democratic Party will reveal the truth through a parliamentary investigation and clearly identify those responsible. We will break the vicious cycle that threatens the lives and safety of the people," and urged, "The government and ruling party should immediately stop using the Itaewon tragedy as a tool for political strife. The parliamentary investigation is a solemn command from the people. The People Power Party must respond to the people's command even now."

Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, also said, "Despite submitting a request for a parliamentary investigation to the National Assembly yesterday, the government and ruling party's opposition is clear. Their willingness to take responsibility is gradually fading," adding, "It is a critical time for our Democratic Party's efforts to clearly identify responsibility and hold those accountable accordingly."
