Sancheong-gun Selected for Dangye Market 'Facility Modernization Project' ... Installation and Repair of Convenience Facilities
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam is holding a briefing session on the modernization project of the traditional market facilities.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that Sindung-myeon Danggye Market has been selected for the Gyeongnam Province public contest project, ‘2023 Traditional Market Facility Modernization Project.’
The facility modernization project involves installing and repairing convenience facilities such as market access roads, internal market roads and restrooms, rain and sun shades, rest areas, customer information centers, and merchant education centers, as well as water and sewage systems, heating and cooling facilities, tourist streets, and waterproofing, painting, and electrical facilities of market buildings.
Sancheong-gun held a preliminary briefing session and made various efforts including gathering residents’ opinions to be selected for this contest.
As a result, it was selected for the contest and plans to invest a total project cost of 960 million KRW (576 million KRW from provincial funds, 384 million KRW from county funds) to modernize Danggye Market.
In particular, following the remodeling of seven stores through the Sindung Danggye Market Street Creation Project in 2021, six old stores will be demolished to harmonize with them, and the project will begin in January next year.
