Gyeonggi Office of Education Takes Action to Bridge Digital Divide Among Students

The program is being conducted until the 20th of next month, targeting 263 classes in the province, divided into school visit type and center visit type (Gyeonggi SW·AI Education Support Center).
Among the total target classes, some small-scale schools will be prioritized to address the digital divide between regions. The support scale will expand from 35 classes this year to 70 classes next year.
The main educational contents include ▲ exploring the functions of sensors to understand the principles of autonomous vehicles ▲ experiencing the process of implementing actions through coding ▲ exploring the basics of machine learning ▲ understanding home Internet of Things (IoT) technology ▲ understanding the principles and functions of humanoid robots.
Lim Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Education, emphasized, "Understanding and utilizing software and artificial intelligence is a very important competency for students living in the era of digital transformation," and added, "We will do our best to bridge the digital divide among students."
