The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (AI) announced on the 9th that the infection case at the quail farm in Cheongju was confirmed to be highly pathogenic (H5N1 type). The farm has been raising 498,000 quails.
Meanwhile, the headquarters is investigating whether the AI H5 antigen detected at a breeding duck farm in Cheonan, Chungnam, is highly pathogenic. The farm raises 7,700 ducks.
