Gwangju Seo-gu to Host 'Together Seo-gu Video Contest' Until the 27th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Yi-gang) announced on the 8th that it will hold the 2022 ‘Together Seo-gu Video Contest’ to discover the hidden charms of Seo-gu and to create promotional content that is both entertaining and moving.
This contest is open to the entire nation, and the theme is free, focusing on travel, history, culture, and experiences related to Seo-gu. It aims to uncover various unique aspects of Seo-gu from the residents' perspectives.
Entries must be original videos between 1 to 3 minutes in length, with no restrictions on format. Submissions are accepted via email until the 27th. Detailed information can be found on the Seo-gu Office website.
A total of 11 winners (individuals or teams) will be selected, including the Grand Prize and Excellence Awards. Prizes include ▲Grand Prize (1 winner) 3 million KRW ▲Excellence Award (1 winner) 1.5 million KRW ▲Outstanding Award (2 winners) 1 million KRW ▲Encouragement Award (2 winners) 500,000 KRW ▲Honorable Mention (5 winners) 300,000 KRW, totaling 9 million KRW in prize money.
The contest results will be announced next month, and the selected winning works will be used for non-profit and public promotional purposes to broadly promote Seo-gu’s content.
Mayor Kim Yi-gang of Seo-gu said, “Through this video contest, I hope it will be an opportunity to discover and share beautiful and interesting video content created by citizens, revealing the hidden charms of Seo-gu.”
