Youth Employment Information Abundant, Meet Current Professionals... Pukyong National University, PKNU Career and Employment Fair
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Pukyong National University will hold the ‘2022 PKNU Career and Employment Fair’ on the 9th to provide youth with employment information and opportunities to meet directly with current employees of companies.
The event will be held on the 9th from 1 PM at the Pukyong National University Daeyeon Campus Gymnasium, and not only PKNU students but also local youth can apply and participate.
About 1,000 people participated in the event held in 2019 before the COVID-19 outbreak, and more than 700 participants are expected this time as well.
On the day, 13 companies will operate booths in the corporate pavilion to provide recruitment information, guidance on desired qualifications, and consultations, while in the current employees pavilion, about 30 company employees will offer employment counseling and consulting from their respective departments.
Public enterprises such as the Korea Road Traffic Authority, Busan Tourism Organization, Busan Transportation Corporation, Busan Facilities Corporation, Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Busan Port Authority, as well as large and medium-sized companies including Dongwon Group, Golden Blue, Nexen, BEXCO, Samho Industry, Korea Kongsberg Maritime, and Hwasung Corporation will participate in the corporate pavilion.
In the current employees pavilion, PKNU Career Mentors who graduated from Pukyong National University and are currently working at companies such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Chong Kun Dang, KEPCO KPS, Hyundai Motor Company, and GS Retail will share their employment know-how directly.
On the day, Pukyong National University will support the fair’s operation together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Busan City, and will also operate booths related to career and employment such as the Student Competency Development Department, University Job Center, LINC 3.0 Project Group, and R-WEST Project Group, as well as experience booths including makeup, photography, and VR mock interviews.
