According to Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) on the 7th, from around 5:30 PM, metropolitan subway express and regular electric trains have been operating normally. KTX and regular train services have also resumed, but chain delays are unavoidable due to the aftermath of the accident. Trains that were suspended or adjusted on this day are expected to operate normally from the 8th.
The accident resulted in 20 minor injury patients being transported to hospitals. Among them, 19 were discharged after treatment, and one remains hospitalized. From immediately after the accident until 4:50 PM on the same day, 106 KTX and regular trains experienced delays ranging from 10 minutes to a maximum of 4 hours and 20 minutes, and operations of 228 trains were adjusted.

A Korail official said, "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to train users," and added, "We will actively cooperate with related organizations such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board to thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident and establish measures to prevent recurrence."
