Jeju Police Chief Sang-ryul Lee Inspects Operation Unit and Chilseonnyeo Festival Site
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Lee Sang-ryul, Chief of Jeju Police Agency, visited the subordinate operations unit on the 5th to inspect the emergency response system, and then visited the Chilseonnyeo Festival venue to urge the establishment of order maintenance at the event.
The chief visited the Jeju Coastal Guard Unit and the 1st and 2nd Guard Units, emphasizing, “In a situation where the level of North Korea’s military demonstrations is increasing day by day, we must actively utilize scientific coastal surveillance systems such as TOD and radar to establish a firm readiness posture against North Korean provocations and terrorism.”
He also visited the Chilseonnyeo Festival site to encourage on-site workers and instructed immediate supplementation of any lacking or insufficient parts.
He urged, “I hope you do your best to ensure a perfect conclusion and thorough safety management at the event so that the Chilseonnyeo Festival can be a successful event without any safety accidents.”
