22 People Trapped for Over 20 Minutes Due to Elevator Malfunction at Daegu 83 Tower Rescued
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Passengers were trapped for about 20 minutes when the elevator doors at Daegu 83 Tower failed to open, but they were rescued.
According to the fire department and police on the 6th, around 6:56 PM the previous day, 22 passengers were trapped for about 20 minutes when the elevator doors at Daegu 83 Tower did not open, and they were rescued around 7:20 PM.
Passenger A said, "While coming down from the tower observatory by elevator, the elevator suddenly stopped and shook, which was very frightening."
The dispatched 119 rescue team entered the elevator stopped between the 3rd and 4th floors and rescued the passengers one by one.
There were no injuries, but the fire authorities stated that one woman briefly experienced symptoms of hypotension but soon regained stability.
