Additionally, by achieving the highest scores in each category, they received the 'Overall Grand Prize,' and coach Kim Hye-eun was honored with the Best Coach Award.
Hosted by the Korea Sports Gymnastics Association and organized by the Goseong-gun Gymnastics Association, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Council, this competition aimed to expand the base and popularize life gymnastics enthusiasts, transforming it from a spectator sport into participatory life sports. Gymnastics enthusiasts from across the country gathered to share passion and joy in this festival.
With about 1,000 participants including coaches, judges, and officials from 40 teams across 17 cities and provinces nationwide, the competition was divided into two categories: life health gymnastics and life dance gymnastics, and further subdivided into four divisions: youth, adolescent, general, and senior. It was a valuable time for participants to compete with the skills they had honed and to communicate and harmonize with each other.
Led by Kim Kyung-ja, president of the Hamyang-gun Gymnastics Association, the Hamyang Anui Silver Gymnastics Team has never missed winning first place since they started participating in competitions in 2019, demonstrating the strength of Hamyang sports and enhancing the county’s prestige and promotional effect.
Jin Byeong-young, the county governor, said, “I extend my congratulations and gratitude to the Hamyang-gun Gymnastics Association for achieving both the Best Coach Award and the overall championship of the competition. We will continue to provide active cooperation and support in many future competitions. Furthermore, we will do our best to operate various programs for the health promotion of our residents.”
