View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured by gunfire from an assailant at an anti-government protest held on the 3rd (local time) in Punjab province in eastern Pakistan.
Bloomberg News, citing Rauf Hassan, spokesperson for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party led by former Prime Minister Khan, reported that the assailant fired multiple shots at the rally, injuring Khan in the foot.
Khan immediately got into a vehicle and moved to a safe location, and it is reported that his life is not in danger.

Bloomberg also reported that former Prime Minister Khan was leading supporters in a street rally demanding early general elections on that day.
