Police Urgently Arrest 40-Year-Old Man Who Stabbed Songpa Hair Salon Owner with a Knife

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A man who stabbed a hair salon owner with a weapon and fled was caught by the police.
According to a summary of Asia Economy's coverage on the 2nd, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested a man in his 40s, Mr. A, on suspicion of attempted murder at around 4:30 PM that day.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing Ms. B, a woman in her 30s and the owner of a hair salon in Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, with a weapon at around 3:30 PM that day and then fleeing the scene.
The police reportedly tracked Mr. A for an hour before urgently arresting him near Pungnap-dong. It has been confirmed that the two had no prior acquaintance.
Ms. B is currently injured but her life is not in danger.

A police official stated, "We are currently verifying the exact circumstances of the incident," and added, "We will decide whether to apply for a warrant after the investigation."
