Former Head of Seoul High Prosecutors' Office Inspection Department... Prosecutor Indicted in 2018 for Leaking Investigation Confidential Information
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Kyung-jun] Lawyer Lee Seong-hee (58, Judicial Research and Training Institute class 25) has been appointed as the head of the Inspection Department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, which had been vacant.
According to the legal community on the 2nd, the Ministry of Justice recently appointed Lawyer Lee as the successor to former Inspection Department head Han Dong-soo, who stepped down in July.
Originally from Hongseong, Chungnam, Lawyer Lee was commissioned as a prosecutor at the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office in 1996 and has served as head of the Special Investigation Division at Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, head of the Foreign Affairs Division at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and head of the Criminal Division 2 at Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office. He retired after serving as deputy chief prosecutor at Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office in 2019 and is currently working as a lawyer at the law firm Dambak.
Having served as head of the Inspection Department at the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, Lawyer Lee formed a special investigation team in 2018 regarding allegations of lawyer lobbying and prosecuted two incumbent prosecutors who leaked investigation secrets to lawyers.

Qualifications include having more than 10 years of experience as a judge, prosecutor, or lawyer. The term is two years, with the possibility of renewal.
