Chairman Kim, who visited the joint memorial altar set up in front of the main gate of the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office, first wrote in the condolence book, then represented the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council to offer incense and observed a moment of silence together with the attending council members.
After the moment of silence, the attending council members solemnly laid flowers one by one, expressing deep condolences to the deceased and their bereaved families.
Chairman Kim said, “I pray for the souls of the victims of the Itaewon accident and offer my condolences to the bereaved families. I also wish a speedy recovery to those injured. We must thoroughly manage safety to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.”
