[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 1st that Yeonggwang e-mobility companies participated in the '2022 Hanoi Hallyu Expo' held recently in Hanoi, Vietnam, promoting e-mobility products produced in the region.
This Hallyu Expo was hosted by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and five other government ministries and five organizations.
In connection with Hallyu events such as K-pop, 136 Korean companies from consumer goods as well as medical, education, and environmental sectors participated and held consultations with over 300 buyers from 11 Southeast Asian countries.
At the Hanoi Hallyu Expo, local companies including Sebo Mobility, which produces the ultra-small electric vehicle CEVO-C, HB Co., Ltd., a specialist in agricultural power carriers, electric two-wheelers, and three-wheelers, and Hanasteel Co., Ltd., which produces high-performance steel pipes, participated to promote the technology and excellence of their main products targeting the Vietnamese market.
Utech Co., Ltd. and Master Automobile, which are planning investments in Yeonggwang, also exhibited high-spec, high-quality products.
At the e-mobility exhibition hall organized by the Korea Smart E-Mobility Association headquartered locally, Sebo Mobility, an ultra-small electric vehicle manufacturer, and Master Automobile promoted their products by exhibiting their main vehicles, the CEVO-C and Master electric vehicle (cargo), respectively.
HB Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony to donate electric three-wheelers for crop transport to the Vietnam Northern Central Agricultural Science Institute, laying the foundation for entering the Vietnamese market, which, like Korea, has extensive farmland and huge demand for agricultural machinery.
Additionally, Utech Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of electric kickboards and electric bicycles planning investment after land acquisition in Daema Industrial Complex, exhibited high-spec electric bicycle products, receiving great response.
A county official stated, “We will support companies so that e-mobility products produced in Yeonggwang can have the best performance and export competitiveness, and promote corporate support policies to pioneer export routes to the Southeast Asian market, which has huge demand for electric two-wheelers and electric agricultural machinery.”
