[Courtesy Visit] Minister Jeong Hwang-geun Holds Bilateral Meeting with Lithuanian Agriculture Minister
Jung Hwang-geun, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with K?stutis Navickas, Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania, on the 31st at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, exchanging views on cooperation measures in the agricultural sector between the two countries.
Minister Jung, leading an economic delegation attending the 17th Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition, expressed hope that this would serve as an opportunity to expand exchanges in the agri-food sector between the two countries and called for cooperation to ensure food security and respond to climate change.
Minister Jung also stated that the 2030 Busan World Expo would be an important opportunity to address global challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, and polarization between nations and social classes, requesting active interest and support from the Lithuanian side.
Minister Navickas expressed hope for cooperation in agricultural innovation technology and the activation of human exchanges such as students, wishing for the successful hosting of the Busan World Expo.
