President Simon Lin presented three methods for monetizing connectivity in the home environment: ▲ Gigabit to the Home ▲ Gigabit to the Space ▲ Combination of Gigabit and Services.
Huawei's ultra-high-speed optical communication solution (FTTR) solves the problem of only being able to use 100Mbps bandwidth when subscribing to the 'Gigabit to the Home' service and provides gigabit connectivity in every space. Telecom operators can showcase scenario-based broadband services and combine gigabit home networks with new services such as internet service or smart home device services, thereby increasing the ARPU of broadband services.
President Lin pointed out that telecom operators can generate revenue through three methods for enterprise connectivity: ▲ Bandwidth upgrade for dedicated line services ▲ Scenario-based differentiated solutions ▲ Upgrades between dedicated lines.
Various network connectivity services are required for enterprise digital transformation. Telecom operators can increase revenue by providing scenario-based dedicated lines such as ultra-high bandwidth dedicated lines for the media industry, millisecond-level low-latency dedicated lines, and secure cloud services for securities firms. In particular, as enterprises connect to various clouds from multiple branches, many dedicated lines have become necessary. Telecom operators can upgrade dedicated lines to dedicated networks using multi-cloud backbone and network slicing technology, ensuring reliable network performance.
President Lin also explained that Huawei is collaborating with telecom operators to establish standards in the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) and jointly define network carbon data and energy density indicator systems.
