Based on the occupational health and safety management achievements Coupang has pursued so far, it acquired ISO 45001 certification for all Coupang Fulfillment workplaces nationwide. CFS has recruited domestic experts in occupational health and safety to specialize its dedicated safety and health organization, and especially appointed Ryan Brown, an environmental health and safety expert, as CEO last September. Through this, CFS has reorganized safety and health regulations and manuals into a systematic system, introduced an occupational health and safety management system based on international and domestic standards, and is making great efforts to minimize risk factors and prevent serious accidents across all workplaces.
Since 2020, Coupang has invested about 250 billion KRW to create safe workplaces, and as a result, CFS reduced its accident rate by 30% from 2020 to 2021.
