[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] A Korean Air passenger plane heading from Incheon to Sydney, Australia, returned to Incheon International Airport after detecting an engine malfunction shortly after takeoff.
According to Korean Air on the 31st, the A330-300 passenger plane carrying 271 passengers and 12 crew members departed Incheon International Airport at 6:45 PM on the 30th.
However, around 7:40 PM, during the ascent after takeoff, an overheating warning message for engine number 2 was displayed, leading the plane to land back at Incheon Airport at 8:18 PM.

Korean Air replaced the aircraft with another of the same model, boarded the passengers, and departed again for Sydney at 11:10 PM. The flight is scheduled to arrive at Sydney Airport at 11:15 PM local time.
