View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Prime Minister Han Duck-soo issued an urgent directive on the morning of the 29th, demanding thorough damage assessment and inspection from relevant ministries following a magnitude 4.1 earthquake that occurred 11 km northeast of Goesan-gun, Chungbuk.
Prime Minister Han first instructed the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Commissioner of the National Fire Agency to "quickly assess the damage caused by the earthquake and ensure all necessary measures are thoroughly implemented."
He also requested the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Minister of Science and ICT, and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to "conduct thorough inspections to prevent disruptions to national infrastructure services such as nuclear power plants, electricity, telecommunications, and transportation."
