Korean Blind Union Hosts Cultural Event for the 96th Hangeul Braille Week
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The Korea Association of the Blind announced on the 28th that it will hold cultural events for the 96th Hangeul Braille Week (the first week of November) to commemorate the 96th anniversary of Hangeul Braille.
This week's cultural event is themed "A New Beginning of Hangeul Braille in Everyday Life." It will be held for five days from the 31st of this month to the 4th of next month, open to all citizens. Two cultural events will be conducted to make Hangeul Braille more familiar to the public.

The first event is "Writing My Name in Hangeul Braille." Participants write their names in Hangeul Braille, verify it on social networking services (SNS), and submit it on the website. One hundred people will be selected by lottery to receive a mobile cultural gift certificate worth 10,000 won. The second event is "Solving Hangeul Braille Quizzes." During the event period, one quiz related to Hangeul Braille will be posted daily on the website. Among the correct answers for each quiz, 100 people will be selected by lottery, and a total of 500 people will receive mobile cultural gift certificates worth 10,000 won. The lottery and winners will be announced on the website on the 8th of next month.
