On the 28th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education announced that according to the employment statistics survey of vocational high school graduates released by the Ministry of Education, it recorded the highest employment rate in the country this year at 67.9% (national average 57.8%).
The Ministry of Education and the Korea Educational Development Institute conduct an annual employment statistics survey of vocational high school graduates as of April 1 by linking with public databases (DB) to ensure objectivity and reliability of vocational high school employment rates. Since the survey began in 2020, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education has maintained the highest employment rate nationwide for three consecutive years.
The advancement rate to higher education for vocational high school graduates under the Gyeongbuk Office of Education was 31.1% (national average 45.2%), the lowest in the country.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education cited the reasons for vocational high schools achieving the highest employment rates nationwide every year as curriculum reorganization and school restructuring tailored to changing times and consumer demands, customized employment matching through the Gyeongbuk-type apprenticeship program?a regional specialty project desired by companies?and fostering convergent talents needed in future industries through the operation of the 10th industrial curriculum.
