Busan Shinsegae Centum City Mall Opens Specialty Store for 'Global Collection Line' on 1st Floor
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Black Yak announced on the 28th that it opened a global store specializing in the 'Global Collection Line' on the 1st floor of Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Mall in Busan on the 27th.
The Global Collection Line consists of products developed by Black Yak's German research and development (R&D) center, DNS (Development Never Stops), which has been recognized for years for its excellence by leading the record for the most awards ever won by a single brand with 26 awards at ISPO Munich, the world's largest sports goods fair.
The newly opened global store sells Global Collection Line products that have undergone field tests in extreme environments for the safety of alpinists, adapted to fit domestic users.
Representative products include the 'Bakosi2 Down Jacket,' improved as an ISPO Award Edition. It features a three-dimensional pattern that aids dynamic movement and uses materials such as Pertex, Cordura, and PrimaLoft to enhance mobility and functionality.
Another product, the 'Taurus 900 Down Jacket,' uses premium Polish goose down as filling and applies Black Yak's Box Wall Chamber technology, which erects internal air column pillars to minimize heat loss. In addition, the store offers a variety of innovative technology products ranging from hard shells like Gore-Tex jackets and pants to base layers such as T-shirts.
As a global store opened in Korea, Black Yak also created a space where customers can share the brand identity and vision called 'Himalayan Original.'

A Black Yak official said, "At the global store, customers can find products developed in collaboration with the German R&D center that are recognized as premium in the global market," adding, "Starting with the first store in Busan, we plan to open global stores at major hubs so that more consumers can experience Black Yak's efforts to continue alpinism."
