Sancheong-gun, Agricultural Income Compensation... 50% Fixed Support for Tax-Exempt Agricultural Fuel
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is implementing an emergency support project for duty-free agricultural fuel.
This project was prepared to reduce the management burden on farmers due to rising international oil prices and to ensure stable farm income.
According to Sancheong-gun, the average price per liter of duty-free gasoline supplied to farmers was 830 KRW in October last year, diesel was 860 KRW, and kerosene was 808 KRW.
However, due to the sharp rise in oil prices, gasoline increased by 31% (1,087 KRW) compared to the same month last year, and diesel and kerosene also rose by 60% (1,378 KRW) and 70% (1,377 KRW), respectively.
Accordingly, Sancheong-gun will provide support for seven types of duty-free fuels: gasoline, diesel, kerosene, heavy oil, LPG, by-product fuel No. 1, and by-product fuel No. 2.
The allocated amount for this duty-free fuel project is 4,237,932 liters, and the compensation scale is 784 million KRW (30% provincial funds, 70% county funds).
The target beneficiaries are agricultural (legal) entities using duty-free fuel management cards, who will receive a fixed support amount calculated at 185 KRW per liter for 50% of the duty-free fuel used from March to November 25 of this year.
The application period is until November 25. Duty-free fuel management card holders must first obtain proof of duty-free fuel usage from the local agricultural cooperative where they applied for the card, then submit the project application form with the attached proof documents to the relevant eup/myeon office.
