KT Hosts 'Global AI Conference 2022'... "Continuing Global Collaboration"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] KT announced on the 27th that it successfully concluded the 'Global AI Conference 2022,' held online on the 26th.
The 'Global AI Conference 2022' was organized by the AI Task Force (AI TF) of SCFA, a Korea-China-Japan telecommunications operators consortium consisting of KT, China's China Mobile, and Japan's NTT Docomo. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) between telecom operators and global companies and to secure global collaboration channels for AI startups.
The conference was held in two sessions: Global Telco Giant and Global Tech Giant. In each session, AI experts from global telecommunications and big tech companies, including KT, China Mobile, NTT Docomo, Telef?nica, and Google, delivered keynote presentations.
Notably, the conference was live-streamed on KT's official YouTube channel, attracting a peak concurrent viewership of approximately 2,100, drawing attention from participants worldwide.
In the first session, there was a keynote speech by Telef?nica on a 360-degree perspective of AI in business, society, ethics, and climate environment, along with presentations on KT's metaverse platform 'Geniverse' and the open research portal 'Genilabs.'
The second session introduced Google's innovation cases in the telecommunications sector. OPPO's metaverse intelligent mobile device technology and Xiaomi's AI applications related to mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) devices were also showcased.
Participants showed great interest in presentations from global companies, including KT's Geniverse revenue model, Google's telecommunications innovation cases through its cloud platform, and NTT Docomo's use of healthcare personal data. They expressed that it was fascinating to learn about the development directions and visions of AI technology.
As a member of SCFA, KT plans to regularly host the Global AI Conference with China Mobile and NTT Docomo to create a platform for global technological cooperation and to strengthen AI collaboration with various companies.
