[Concall] Samsung Electronics Reaffirms "No Artificial Production Cuts"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Samsung Electronics stated in a conference call held after its earnings announcement on the 27th that "the basic stance of not considering artificial (semiconductor) production cuts remains unchanged."
Samsung Electronics said, "Currently, customers are making significant inventory adjustments, causing demand to weaken, but we expect data center expansions to increase next year and the adoption of DDR5 for new CPUs to grow as well," adding, "Some external organizations are also forecasting market improvements centered on DRAM."

They also explained, "Considering strategic operations in this situation, it is true that market demand is currently contracted, but from a mid- to long-term perspective, we believe demand should be addressed," and "While there are no short-term plans, we are closely monitoring whether the market conditions will change drastically in the future."
