View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yunjin] Park Chandae, a Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized President Yoon Suk-yeol on the 26th, saying, "Isn't he still defining the main opposition party as a pro-North Korean Juche faction that must be annihilated?"
On the 26th, Park appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current Affairs' and explained the background of the Democratic Party's boycott declaration of President Yoon's National Assembly budget speech the day before. Park said, "It seems he has no interest whatsoever in cooperation or state affairs. Doesn't he still think of himself as the prosecutor?" and sharply criticized President Yoon's lack of willingness to cooperate.
In response to criticism that the opposition party has never missed a presidential policy speech before, Park retorted, "Isn't he the first shameless and incompetent president in constitutional history?" Regarding the prosecution's search of the Democratic Research Institute, he pointed out, "The fact that this happened on the last day of the National Assembly audit is also an act of obstructing the audit," and criticized President Yoon and the government’s responsibility, saying, "Was there no apology at all for using expressions like 'those bastards' toward the main opposition party during an important diplomatic event?"
Park criticized President Yoon for focusing only on suppressing the Democratic Party. He said, "I think he has no thoughts about state affairs," and evaluated President Yoon's recent actions as "a reckless and headstrong idea to annihilate the Democratic Party and to endure all processes if only the investigation into former President Moon Jae-in and Representative Lee Jae-myung achieves its intended purpose."
In particular, he sharply criticized the prosecution's ongoing investigation into the illegal presidential election funds allegations against Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party leader, calling it a "political investigation." Park said, "There has been an enormous amount of investigation for over a year, but the only thing that has come out is the reversal of testimony by Yoo Dong-gyu, who is about to be released without any evidence, just because of conflicting interests," and claimed, "The prosecution is now engaging in malicious politics through hearsay."

Meanwhile, when asked about the 'Lee Jae-myung resignation theory' raised by some, Park drew a clear line, saying, "Internally, that is absolutely not the case." He added, "There is also a very strong voice demanding much stronger actions than what the Democratic Party is currently doing," and stated, "There can be various voices within a democratic party. However, now is the time to unite tightly and act."
